The Short Version

RP Forge is a free tool for building roleplay character profiles across multiple games — or for game-agnostic characters. Use it respectfully, don't abuse it, and understand that we're an independent project — not affiliated with any game publisher.

RP Forge & TRP Forge

TRP Forge (trpforge.app) is the World of Warcraft / Total RP 3 deployment of RP Forge — same platform, same operator, same data backend, same policies. It exists as its own host so WoW players land on a WoW-specific landing page, but everything in these terms applies equally whether you're using rpforge.app or trpforge.app.

What RP Forge Is

RP Forge is a web application that helps you create roleplay character profiles for online games — currently World of Warcraft (with Total RP 3 addon round-trip), Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars: The Old Republic — or for game-agnostic characters that travel across systems. It is a fan-made tool and is not produced, endorsed, or affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., Square Enix Co. Ltd., Electronic Arts Inc., BioWare, or any other game publisher.

World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and related game content are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Total RP 3 is an open-source addon licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

Your Content

You own the character profiles you create. By publishing a profile to a public URL, you grant RP Forge a license to display that content publicly. You can revoke this at any time by unpublishing.

We do not claim ownership of your creative content. Your characters, backstories, and descriptions are yours.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RP Forge to:

  • Publish content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Impersonate Blizzard Entertainment, TRP3 developers, or other real people
  • Publish content designed to harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload our service
  • Distribute malware or malicious code through profile content

AI-Generated Content

RP Forge offers AI-powered features that use your own AI provider (Bring Your Own Model). You are responsible for:

  • Complying with your AI provider's terms of service
  • Reviewing AI-generated content before publishing — AI can produce inaccurate, inappropriate, or lore-breaking content
  • Any content you publish, regardless of whether it was AI-generated or hand-written

RP Forge is not responsible for the output of third-party AI models.

Content Policy

Published profiles are visible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for the content you publish. The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and account termination:

  • CSAM — Any content depicting or sexualizing minors. We are legally required to report this to authorities.
  • Real-person harassment — Content targeting real individuals with threats, doxxing, or harassment
  • Illegal content — Content that is illegal in the United States

The following content is allowed but must be flagged appropriately:

  • Mature/explicit content — Adult themes, violence, sexual content between fictional adult characters must be marked as "Mature" when publishing. Viewers will see a content warning before the profile loads.

We rely on community reporting to enforce these policies. If you see content that violates these rules, use the "Report Profile" link on any published profile. We will review all reports and take appropriate action.

We reserve the right to remove any published content and terminate any account that violates this policy, at our sole discretion.

DMCA / Copyright

If you believe a published profile infringes your copyright, contact us with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • The URL of the infringing profile
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized

We will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests promptly.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. If you create one:

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
  • You must provide accurate information when signing up
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • You can delete your account at any time

Availability

RP Forge is provided "as is" without warranty. We do our best to keep the service running, but we cannot guarantee:

  • 100% uptime or availability
  • That exported profiles will always be compatible with future TRP3 versions
  • That published profile URLs will remain permanently accessible
  • That AI features will produce accurate or appropriate content

Limitation of Liability

RP Forge is a free, community tool. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to: lost data, corrupted game files, AI-generated content, or interruptions to the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of RP Forge after changes constitutes acceptance. If we make significant changes, we'll note the updated date at the top of this page.
